Hi! Can you (or anyone) tell me if the Picasso card handles mode promotion in
a way that we can see 15Khz resolutions in Multiscan monitors that DOESN'T
scan down to 15Khz?! I'm asking that because I saw an advert in VTU or Amiga
World that said something like 'screen promotion- that means you can use old
programs and play games in the same monitor'.
So, does that mean that the card promotes the games resolution to 30Khz and we
can use a regular VGA monitor (in my case, an IDEK 8617) or does it mean that
you just don't need 2 monitors because the card bypasses the signal to the
same monitor (but the minotor, I mean, monitor has to scan down do 15Khz
anyway...)?
Thanx for any response. I am uncertain abou what to buy:A Retina or a Picasso?!
